Who We Are

Newcastle Smallbore and Air Rifle Club is a not-for-profit incorporated association which promotes and participates in various disciplines of rimfire and air rifle competition shooting.

We are affiliated, through our state body, with Target Rifle Australia. Smallbore Rifle and Air Rifle are the only rifle disciplines shot at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Benchrest World Titles. The world bodies controlling these disciplines are the International Shooting Sport Federation (I.S.S.F.), the International Paralympic Committee (I.P.C) and the World Rimfire and Airgun Benchrest Federation (W.R.A.B.F.)

Due to the pistol club having works done to the access roadway to our range there will be NO shooting on Wed 11th Dec or Sun 15th Dec.We will hold a AD HOC day on Wed 18th Dec followed by the advised practice days on Sat 21st Dec and Sun 29th Dec.The range will NOT be open on Christmas Day. ... A big year of club competition has concluded at the NSBARC range for 2024.A total of 917 individual competition rounds were shot at the range for 2024 (excluding the NNSW IRB round)In rimfire competition - 617 individual rounds, and in air rifle - 300 individual rounds were shot.Congratulations to all trophy winners presented at yesterday's AGM.Being a competitive sport we all seek the ultimate scorecard of 250.025, a very rare feat in benchrest shooting.Although no perfect scores were achieved in 2024 Robyn C. went very close.
